YOUTH / PROJECT WORKER
Full Time - 35 hours per week | £23,000 per annum (FTE) | Working across Furness & South Lakes
Consideration will be given to Part Time applicants with a focus on Furness (Project John base, Barrow) or South Lakes (Ambleside base).
Are you looking for a rewarding role supporting children and young people to thrive?
As one of our Youth Workers you'd be responsible for designing, delivering and evaluating high quality programmes, designed to support children, young people and families to make positive and sustainable life choices.
This role would work across the South Lakes and Furness areas on an array of diverse youth based programmes and projects.
Education and Qualifications:
Essential:
- A relevant Level 3 qualification and/or equivalent experience
- Current and clean driving licence. For vehicle insurance purposes, you should be at least 21 years of age and have held a full GB driving licence for at least one year
- Level 3 safeguarding or willing to work towards
- First Aid Qualification or willingness to work towards
Desirable:
- Professional qualification as a children's workforce practitioner (e.g. qualified teacher, youth worker, social worker or healthcare practitioner.)
- PCV/D1 driving licence
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Experience of providing support to children, young people and families
- Practical experience of delivering interventions that support children, young people and families
- Experience of programme design and evaluation against set outcomes
- Practical experience of identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns
