Masterclass are working with a vibrant specialist school setting in the Worthing area, who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their arts department.


A current TA at the setting:
'I have worked for ** for nearly five years in the creative media department and have loved every minute, no two days are the same


I work with an amazing group of inspiring people, who all have the same aim: to nurture educational needs for students whatever the young person's need.

You are supported and training is always current and ongoing.

This is such a rewarding job.'

This is a long-term role (On going with no end date and the possibility of moving to a permanent contract)

Job role:

  • To support the students development across all areas of their schooling
  • Support and encourage positive behaviour management
  • Work with groups of students or individuals (11) to support the class teachers in specific lessons.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling pupils to feel relaxed and happy
  • To establish positive relationships with the students and staff within the school
  • To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every student has the chance to be the best they can be

Must have:

  • Ability to work well independently and as a team
  • Has a passion to support and empower children and young people
  • A DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one
  • Commitment to safeguarding students and young people
