Since opening in Shoreditch in 2011, the brand has expanded across London with restaurants, café-bars, and food truck sites serving specialty coffee, food and cocktails to a killer soundtrack across 14 locations.

2020 changed Grind beyond recognition, and today Grind coffee is available online - through our direct-to-consumer coffee business led by the UK's first compostable coffee pods for Nespresso machines - as well as around the world as the global coffee partner for Soho House.


Based in Shoreditch, with a roastery in Bermondsey and hospitality spots all over London, we have a team of talented people working on everything from product development to creative production, to customer experience.


A bit about the role.
We are recruiting for a highly successful, fast paced coffee Roastery based in London. We are seeking a high calibre Courier Driver to join their team.


The successful applicant will need to have achieved a good level of driving ability and have some experience driving 3.5t / LWB vans, preferably in the courier and delivery sector.


You may, at times, need to undertake work directly from your own home and so will need parking availability for a company van.

Daily hours will need to be flexible based on customer needs this will include early mornings and weekends.

Role responsibilities.

  • Primarily driving a LWB Vehicle (you will be assigned your own vehicle) and undertaking urgent courier deliveries for a variety of business customers
  • Loading and unloading the delivery vehicle(s) including taking consignments up stairs to offices on upper floors, and securing loads properly for safe transport
  • Maintaining a line of frequent communications with the Roastery
  • Undertaking some 'out of hours' courier work, and a shared voluntary standby rota to meet customer demand
  • Completion of routine delivery paperwork
  • Keeping your van in a clean and presentable condition
  • If eligible, a secondary role of driving a 7.5T Truck on courier deliveries (estimated at approximately 20% of the time or less)

To be successful, you'll have:

  • Driving skills experience driving LWB sized vans
  • A valid driving licence without serious driving offences
  • Accidentfree history, or at least without significant and recent 'at fault' accidents
  • Communication skills to allow effective communication with the office and customers
  • Knowledge of central London and the main roads into and around London
  • Knowledge of the major UK motorway routes and a good sense of direction and UK geography
  • Self discipline the applicant will often need to be trusted to work effectively alone
  • Reliability and Maturity the couriers are entrusted with valuable and important work which is timesensitive
  • Ability to work under pressure most deliveries have deadlines and are generally considered urgent
