Job Descriptionn

  • Manage a team that will work to improve the deployment and operations processes related to container orchestration platforms (Tanzu Application Service).n
  • Play an integral role in ensuring our platforms are secure, resilient, and reliable, helping to reduce the toil required by this activity.n
  • Develop automation, providing support to platform users, building the skills of other team members, responding to incidents and performing platform operations in general.nRequirementsn
  • Knowledge of container orchestration platforms (Tanzu Application Service).n
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes is desirable.n
  • Experience automating platform operations including deployment, upgrading, provisioning (onboarding) and maintenance activities.n
  • Software engineering expertise including strong proficiency in Python, Go or other languages.n
  • Consulting experience related to helping others gains platform engineering and software engineering skills.n
  • Incident response skills including platform and application problem diagnosis and resolution.n
  • Experience with Terraform, Concourse.n
  • Experience with monitoring systems such as Datadog, Splunk and Log Insight.n
  • Candidates preferably willing and able to participate in On-Call.n
  • Experience of managing an engineering team supporting business critical production services.
