We're seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our London office and Data Factory team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is eager to contribute their extensive data science skills to our business.

You will have a passion for data science and enjoy being hands on with analytics, bringing clarity from complexity and revealing commercially relevant insights for our clients, as well as sharing that expertise with colleagues and clients.

The successful candidate(s) will be bright, creative, and organised.

With a commercial focus, you'll work with the research teams to win new business and deliver insightful analytics to clients.

You'll be a catalyst for change, and benefit from the resource and knowledge sharing available from colleagues in the BVA Data Factory.


Client projects :

leading the scoping and delivery of analytics projects, blending mainstream analytical techniques with contemporary developments in data science and data visualisation (across all project stages, from set-up and sample design through to final delivery).


Proposition evolution :

collaborating with the Data Factory team to develop our statistical analysis, data analytics and data visualisation offering, investigating new techniques and software packages.


Coaching :

mentoring and training others in the agency, leading internal training sessions, creating accessible and engaging training content suitable for a range of roles.


Encouraging change :

evangelising the benefits of new data science methodologies and visualisation techniques, encouraging others to embrace change and adopt new solutions.


External profile building :

developing thought leadership content and / or presenting at industry events, supporting the agency's positioning and maximising its visibility.

The role will be based in the UK and we expect that the majority of your time will be spent working with the UK research teams.

However, you will also have the opportunity to work on international assignments alongside the 20 data specialists working in the BVA Data Factory team in France and other international territories.


Proficiency in Data Science tools:
You have a very good command of R, Python, VBA... and the different Data Science libraries and frameworks (e.g., You are organised, structured in your working methods and enjoy experimenting with new tools and methodologies, such as machine learning algorithms, predictive modeling, and data visualization techniques.

Curiosity & Innovation:

You are curious and proactive about new technologies, with a strong appetite for innovation and R&D in areas such as artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing.


Communication Skills:

You have an ability to communicate clearly, bringing clarity from complexity and revealing commercially relevant insights for our clients through storytelling with data.


Strong MS Office Skills:

Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (including advanced functions and macros) and PowerPoint, to create comprehensive reports and presentations.

Able to work in Cloud environments (Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, MS Azure).
