We are delighted to be working on behalf of a design and manufacturing company to help them secure a permanent full time Woodshop Supervisor to join their team in Westbury.

Our client designs, manufactures and installs bespoke fittings for a variety of industries here in the UK and globally. The company focuses on high quality with outstanding delivery and creation of products for their customers.


They have a vast experience managing projects of all sizes, and they put a strong emphasis on ensuring that our products conform to all relevant standards, and that they are safely maintained throughout their lifetime.


EXPERIENCE/SKILLS ESSENTIAL FOR ROLE:

  • Excellent supervisory skills
  • Qualification/training within supervisor management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic Information technology skills (data entry)
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Competence in all production processes within the team Excellent supervisory skills

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS DESIRABLE FOR ROLE:

  • Knowledge of ASL products
  • Attainment of City and Guilds-Level 2 Diploma in Wood Machining
  • Knowledge of CNC programming, operation and maintenance (Enroute software

DUTES:


Undertake production activities as required by the demands of the business ensuring that products are manufactured in an effective and timely manner.

Supervise the team within your control to provide support to and deputise for your Line Manager.

Seek to continuously improve the production processes to extend efficiency, quality and meet the changing needs of the business.

Sustain a high standard of housekeeping/maintenance to ensure efficiency.

Adhere to ISO procedures to ensure consistency and high-quality manufacturing processes.

Adhere to Health and Safety practices as determined by the needs of the business and legislation.

Coach employees new to the task/process to ensure swift understanding and attainment of necessary skills

Personal training and development to ensure personal and business success.
