Brook Street is proud to be working with one of the leading Solicitors firm based in the Southampton area that prides itself on the service it offers to its customers.


The Legal Reception role will predominantly involve working on front of house, greeting guests, dealing with enquiries, and ensuring the business retains is professional appearance at all times.


The role is Monday to Friday, 9-5.30pm and ideally we are looking for 2 years front of house experience in a professional setting.


Who's right for the job?

  • Possess a good working knowledge of the teams and legal services within the various departments to efficiently direct phone calls.
  • Possess a good working knowledge of all reception / office processes and procedures and keep up to date with any changes.
  • Have and maintain a good working knowledge of IT systems such as Excel, Outlook and the Case management system.
  • Have and maintain up to date knowledge and training of health & safety matters.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and drive own personal development.
  • Professional image for customer facing role

About the job:

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • To consistently provide clients with an excellent and professional service, via all channels of communication.
  • To greet every client with a warm and friendly manner and to clearly communicate our services, processes, and procedures.
  • To respond to telephone calls within a timely manner in line with business expectations and goals and consistently provide an excellent standard of service to all clients and colleagues.
  • To ensure the reception area, desks, waiting rooms and meeting rooms are maintained to a good standard.
  • To action all reception admin duties to a good standard.
  • To take client payments by telephone and in person ensuring accuracy.
  • To receive and check documentation and ID and ensure that information received is passed to the relevant person promptly.
  • To receive and sort incoming post and DX post promptly.
  • To maintain stationery stock for the office and place order requests as required.
  • To observe confidentiality in all matters both internal and external and ensure compliance with GDPR.
  • To carry out all employee Health & Safety responsibilities, including Fire Marshal & First Aid duties and any other H&S training and duties applicable to the role.
