The Governors of St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic High School wish to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational leader of our PE Department.


We are committed to our extra-curricular and enrichment programme, with students able to choose from a variety of sporting activities.

We are proud of our close links to external sporting organisations, such as Wigan Warriors Rugby Club and promote the opportunities to strengthen school-to-club links within our community.

We pride ourselves on broadening pupils' experiences with physical activity and sport.

PE plays a central part in the school-house system, culminating in in a whole school sports day, which has legendary status amongst our school community, past and present.


We are passionately committed to the professional development of our staff and offer an outstanding CPL programme that is universally valued by colleagues.

A lot of care and is taken to manage workload to ensure that colleagues enjoy their work and it is recognised that SEACHS is a positive place to teach.


We are a forward-looking and flourishing school, well regarded for the excellence of our academic achievement and the high level of motivation of pupils and staff.
