My client are the leading global management consulting firm focused on sport.

They are growing fast, with around 110 employees, and are looking for a driven, high performing manager to lead Professional Development and support their global HR function inits next phase of growth.

The role sits within the companies People function, reporting to the Global HR Director.

It will encompass personal development support for staff at all levels, both consulting and operational, across four offices in London and 3 sites globally.

You willmanage a wide range of PD levers including:

  • Formal training and learning
  • Individualised PD support such as mentorship, coaching, pathway planning, secondments
  • Staffing / project allocation
  • Some elements of performance management (working with the Global HR Director).
  • General HR Support
  • Understand PD needs for all cohorts and staff groups (CS & Ops)
  • Own and renew PD strategy for the firm overall & by cohort/group
  • Set and manage global training budget
  • Oversee onboarding training
  • Oversee the packaging, delivery and continuous improvement of the company training curriculum for consulting staff at each level (i.e., Intern, BA, SBA, C, SC, PM, SPM) including both inperson training programmes and ongoing virtual training modules
  • Coordinate training for Experienced Hires in both management consulting skills and industry knowledge (as relevant)
  • Coordinate training for Ops Team staff in management/leadership and technical skills, leveraging external as well as internal providers
  • Manage and grow the team of (senior) consulting staff responsible for delivering the training curriculum
  • Work with global staffing projects and allocations
  • Lead the global mentorship program
  • Support with performance management across the business

Required skills to succeed in this role are:

  • Understanding of the skills required for success in management consulting
  • Expertise in managing all aspects of Professional Development, ideally at a topend management consulting firm
  • Experience of the "staffing" function at a topend management consulting firm
  • Experience in identifying and managing a variety of internal and external partners
  • Strong project management and process optimisation skills
  • Presence, gravitas and clarity in oral communication
  • Able to interact as a peer with senior leaders
  • Ability to think strategically and plan for future growth
  • Ideally, experience in working globally across multiple offices
  • Managerlevel PD and/or staffing professional (or PMlevel management consultant wishing to change track) from a strategic management consulting firm, preferably with global experience
