  • Salary: Circa £45k - £50k plus up to 21% bonus based on performance
  • *Welcome bonus of £5000 paid in instalments over the first 12 months of employment

We are a leading recruitment agency focused on finding the best talent for various roles in the care sector. Our client, a reputable children's residential service provider, is looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Manager to lead their team. The client offers innovative care services to children and young people with complex needs.

Role Description:

As the Registered Manager, you will oversee the management and operation of the children's residential service. Your responsibilities include ensuring high-quality care delivery, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective policy implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high-quality care delivery within the home, focusing on outstanding progress for the children.
  • Manage care services, plan strategically for home developments, and handle day-to-day management.
  • Supervise staffing, budgeting, and resources for the residential service's daily operations.
  • Lead and support a team of care professionals, providing guidance and supervision as necessary.
  • Create and execute tailored care plans for each child to promote their well-being and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including Ofsted regulations and safeguarding protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, such as local authorities and families.
  • Evaluate service delivery effectiveness and implement enhancements for better outcomes.
  • Work with professionals to provide therapeutic care to each child for optimal results.
  • Act as a role model, establishing trusting relationships for positive change.
  • Mentor staff, organize work patterns, provide training, and oversee performance reviews.
  • Manage service development, budget, financial performance, and safeguarding of children.

Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in a senior role within learning disabilities services for adults or children.
  • Hold a Level 3 or 4 Diploma for Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent for adults).
  • Working towards or achieved a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Young People's Services.
  • Understanding of legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and managerial experience.
  • Hands-on managerial approach with budget and financial management skills.
  • Commitment to promoting children's welfare and well-being.
  • Flexible work availability and willingness to carry out on-call duties.
  • Must have a UK driving license.
