About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Working Supervisor to join our Empty Homes and Repairs team in the Chesterfield area on a Permanent basis.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for Managing an area-based team to ensure that all works are delivered, safely, to a quality standard and within agreed timescales.

You will also carry out associated secondary trade activities to ensure a first time fix.

You'll also be able to demonstrate:
Essential Skills;

  • Competence within plumbing and carpentry trades.
  • Various secondary trade skills and experience outside of primary trade.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems seeking any advice required.
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment within agreed performance targets.
  • Ability to correctly complete the relevant certifications, reports or other documentation.
  • Recognised competency in Carpentry or Plumbing.
  • Ability to accurately interpret technical data and instructions.
  • Good understanding of H&S within the built environment.
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision and demonstrate organisational and team management skills.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of working as part of an operational team delivering front line services.
  • Team leader management within building maintenance.

Qualifications

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification.
  • Level 3 NVQ in Site Supervision.
