The Aldwark Manor Estate is a privately owned Hotel with Golf, Spa and Leisure facilities nestled in a picturesque village between York and Harrogate.

Set in 185 acres of beautiful countryside, this four-star hotel provides a complete escape for both business and leisure guests and is a popular venue for Weddings.


Over the last year, the hotel has undergone major renovations in the bedrooms, restaurant, bar and all public areas with further plans to redevelop and expand throughout 2023, 2024 and 2025, increasing the number of Bedrooms, an additional fine dining restaurant, self-contained Golf facilities, as well an opulent new Spa with state-of-the-art facilities.

Restaurant Manager

Main duties and purpose of the role:

  • To ensure restaurant checks have been received in the kitchen
  • Check restaurant tables are correctly laid up according to the standards before any dishes are served to guests
  • To ensure tables are cleared in the appropriate manner time
  • To have knowledge of food service techniques in order to serve all food correctly and to required standard
  • To carry out other reasonable duties as deemed appropriate by a Supervisor
  • To deal with all customer / guest comments or complaints immediately and pass onto appropriate Supervisor/HOD.
  • Excellent food service skills, including the ability to carry multiple plates and to deliver drinks on trays
  • Ability to work well with other team members and to follow directions from supervisors
  • To be responsible for cleaning of equipment in restaurant polishing of crockery/glassware
  • Replenishing hot/code buffet condiments
  • Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and ability to follow basic recipes
  • Ability to provide guests with uptodate information and directions while attending the function
  • To be polite and courteous to all guests and visitors to the hotel at all times
  • Valid food hygiene certificate from the Food Standards Agency
