Currently seeking a Senior Paraplanner to join their Technical Team.

The Senior Paraplanner plays a vital role in the advisory process for clients, working closely with the Financial Planner. This position involves providing essential administrative and technical support to ensure the accuracy and suitability of client advice. Serving as a pivotal function in the business, the Senior Paraplanner collaborates across all areas to facilitate the efficient handling of client affairs. Regarded as the top technical role within the firm after Financial Planners, the Senior Paraplanner is acknowledged as a technical specialist. Responsibilities Support to Financial Planners
  • Conduct technical analysis and calculations, presenting recommendations on financial services products.
  • Conduct technical analysis and calculations, offering recommendations on NHS pension strategies.
  • Assist in drafting the complete set of client reports.
  • Participate in client meetings with a Financial Planner.
Client Interaction
  • Engage with clients via phone, email, and correspondence as needed.
  • Review all essential documentation for client meetings.
  • Attend client meetings to provide technical support when necessary.
  • Ensure reports are easily understandable and written in plain English.
Coordination with Third Parties
  • Oversee Client Services in gathering all required information accurately for technical calculations and plan analyses to offer advice.
  • Instruct investment custodians promptly and accurately, ensuring oversight until completion.
Internal Operations
  • Maintain updated and correctly filed client records in line with the current Company structure.
  • Adhere to the quality assurance process to sustain high work standards and foster a positive relationship with the Risk and Governance team.
  • Regularly communicate with Client Services, ensuring task completion as per instructions with precision and timeliness.
  • Provide necessary management information when requested.
Management & Mentorship
  • Serve as a role model for AFPs and JAFPs.
  • Offer guidance, advice, and mentorship to AFPs and JAFPs as necessary.
  • Conduct formal training sessions.
Required Experience
  • Chartered status (or in close proximity to attainment).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a paraplanning role.
  • Strong academic background in an analytical discipline.
