Do you want to be part of the new team, interested in people and want to make a difference to change someone's world and yours?
We are looking for a Senior Support Worker for our new Supported Living Service opening in Battle, which will provide support to 6 adults and is focused on achieving and maintaining independence.
As a Senior Support Worker you will have experience of working in the care sector with adults with learning disabilities. You will be responsible for the management of a team of staff and you will need to be motivated to drive the service forward by modelling good practice, monitoring performance and direct supervision of the staff. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development of this new scheme, alongside the development of people who will live here.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have a lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship or equivalent, or willingness to complete and Level 2 Maths and English or ability to pass an assessment as part of the selection process
- Can lead a team of staff to support people with complex needs, or particular vulnerabilities.
- Ensure staff positively support people who have unpredictable behaviour that may be challenging
- Demonstrate and model good practice
- Maintain day to day safe working practices by ensuring that effective risk assessment and risk management processes are followed.
- Able to work a shift pattern according to the needs of the service
- Able to work flexibly across Learning Disability services
