The main goal of this position is to interpret customers' specifications and engineering drawings to engineer components using NC Programming techniques. Moreover, the role entails reducing over capacity on machines to meet the company's improvement targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Engineer components using NC programming and verify on all CNC machines
- Create prove-out sheets and oversee new programs
- Liaise with internal departments for new programs
- Read and interpret customer specifications and engineering drawings
- Design fixtures and jigs
- Create component part documentation for stable processes
- Assist in engineering processes and material flow
- Generate technical reports as needed
- React to shop floor requirements promptly
- Improve existing methods on the shop floor
- Optimize processes to reduce over capacity on machines
- Work under pressure and in support of customer demands
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
- Work safely and report any concerns
- Carry out other duties as required
Skill/Knowledge Requirements
Academic:
- Good level of education
Experience:
- Understanding of tooling selection
- Experienced in hard and soft metal machining
Key Competencies:
- Proficiency in MasterCam and Vericut software
- Ability to read complex engineering drawings
- High numeracy and literacy
Other Skills/Abilities/Personal Attributes
Skills:
- PC skills, Microsoft Office
Abilities:
- Ability to work under pressure and be flexible
