Local Government in Cumbria has changed.
The current six district councils and Cumbria County Council have now been replaced by two new unitary authorities - Westmorland and Furness Council and Cumberland Council.

About this opportunity
To lead a team to undertake condition surveys of the county's highway network as part of the council's safety inspection policy and to provide related expert advice and to take a strategic overview of the work of the local area-based Highway Condition and Safety Inspection Teams.
To provide the centre of expertise and advice on all matters relating to Safety Inspections and 3rd Party Claims on behalf of the Council.
To ensure that a culture of performance safety and quality is embedded across the Highways service and provide support to others to ensure this is managed effectively.
To provide support to the overall highway service by ensuring compliance with all quality and service standards.What can we offer you
