Configuration Manager Position at BakerHicks

BakerHicks is a renowned company providing a managed service for a major Defence Contractor's Configuration Management function. Embedded within the client's organization, we offer support to CAD/BIM/Surveying/Tooling/Handover & Baseline Data Management with a team of approximately 70 professionals.

In line with the growth of our services, we are keen on hiring a Configuration Manager. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the efficient management of crucial information to establish a precise baseline for a significant project at our client's site.

This role is essential to showcase the business's control over crucial information developed throughout the lifecycle of this major project as we prepare for operational handover.

Key Objectives

  • Manage, monitor, and report on Configuration Management delivery across the project as part of the Project Delivery and Controls Function.
  • Establish Configuration Management processes, requirements, and standards to facilitate delivery.
  • Coordinate and synchronize Supply Chain organizations in their Configuration Management activities aligning with client expectations.
  • Offer document configuration support to the client team to ensure effective internal document configuration and storage management.

Requirements

  • Hold an HNC or equivalent qualification in construction or engineering discipline (Note: Experience and Professional Membership/Registration will be considered if formal qualifications are lacking)
  • Demonstrate experience in delivering Configuration Management within diverse projects
  • Have experience working in a secure and/or regulated environment (rail, nuclear, defense, etc)
  • Possess solid strategic awareness and stakeholder management experience
  • Be willing and capable of obtaining security clearance
