This job posting is exclusively for internal candidates and might be considered as a secondment opportunity. The position is open on a 0.8 to 1FTE basis (30 hours to 37.5 hours per week).

Department

The Student Fees and Funding team is dedicated to delivering outstanding services to a portion of the University's 25,000 students. They achieve this by offering various funding options and managing fee-related data. These funding opportunities comprise scholarships, bursaries, and loan programs, as well as international schemes and central financial aid. The Projects and Engagement Officer is tasked with handling specific policy areas, operational projects, and process management, essentially shaping service delivery and reporting within the team.

About the Role

This role is a fantastic chance to support student fees and funding activities across the collegiate University. It involves collaborating with subteams within the Student Fees and Funding (SFF) team, taking on specific projects, and aiding in continuous enhancement. The role includes overseeing communication needs and strategies across SFF, understanding operational functions and activity timelines to contribute to internal and external communications networks, and backing the implementation of new Content Management Systems. Responsibilities also include elevating the quality, utility, and presentation of management information and data analysis regarding Oxford's student fees and funding. Monitoring and evaluating external policies, regulations, and other developments related to student fees and funding are essential, providing recommendations to the collegiate University as needed. This position is temporary until 31 May 2025.

An applicant for this role must be highly organized, proactive, thorough, and capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks effectively. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong dedication to enhancing the student and applicant experience, possessing experience in designing and executing administrative processes. They should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, coordinating the efforts of others, and advancing shared project work. An analytical and problem-solving approach, attention to detail, and a drive for continuous improvement are crucial. Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with students, colleagues, and external contacts at all levels.
