We are currently looking to recruit a Press Operator.

Role Overview Reporting to the Chargehand you will be responsible for assisting in the production of steel products ultimately for manufacture of commercial containers and industrial units.
Previous manufacturing experience in a factory environment would be desirable.

Duties include:

• Following drawings and instructions for each job
• Safely operate press brakes, guillotine, pillar drill, iron worker and workshop hand tools
• Manufacturing of sheet metal assembly components
• Check each job for quality
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean 5S standards
• Regular communication with Supervisor or Chargehand on progress

This vacancy will require you to work within a small team therefore you will be self-motivated, have a willingness to learn and be flexible in the tasks that you undertake in order to support the needs of the business.

Attention to detail is key as you will be required to work to high customer, quality and regulatory standards, often to tight deadlines.

Days - 40 hours per week

Monday to Thursday : 7.30 am to 16.30 pm Fri am to 13.30 pm

Lydney is within easy commuting distance of Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol and South Wales. We operate a travel allowance policy.
