Furniture Delivery Driver

Location:
Initially at Clitheroe, relocating to Chorley, Lancashire after September 2023

Hours:

Guaranteed minimum 21 hours a week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday), more during busy periods with the potential to go full time after relocating to Chorley.


Responsibilities:

  • Loading furniture onto the van with care and precision.
  • Safely driving to the delivery or collection locations.
  • Delivering furniture into customers' chosen room, setting up and demonstrating.
  • Keeping customers informed of the estimated arrival time and liaising with the office and customers where needed
  • Assisting with moving furniture in the showroom, loading bay and storage.
  • Unloading incoming stock deliveries and organizing the showroom.
  • Carrying out local and national deliveries as required.
  • Participating in additional tasks at the showroom or warehouse during offpeak periods.
  • Potentially taking a lead role in arranging deliveries with customers.

Requirements:

  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Previous experience in deliveries and driving large vehicles.
  • Physically fit and strong, able to do heavy lifting.
  • Good customer service and communication skills
