We are looking for motivated, learner
- centered and outstanding person who can inspire students, have a flexible and creative approach to their work.


Reporting to the Senior Engagement Advisor, you will provide a caseload of learners with intensive 1:1 support and motivate learners with a wide range of support needs, which may include a history of challenging behaviour, involvement with the youth justice system and/or being looked after.


In addition to supporting the recruitment of widening participation learners as well as safeguard their retention by delivering positive, informed and insightful outreach programmes, including events focused on engaging, motivating, inspiring and connecting with learners from under-represented groups.


The
Student Support Advisor will provide operational support to the Head of Learner Experience, as appropriate, and work with colleagues within the Tutorial Delivery Programme, Intervention Team, Safeguarding, Mental Health and Wellbeing teams flexibly and as required.


In this role it is essential that you have a proven track record of successfully delivering services for young people and successful youth engagement in a comparable role within a service driven organisation of comparable size, scope and complexity, and experience and knowledge of voluntary and statutory agencies, particularly in the criminal justice, health and social care sector.


You should have excellent administration, organisation and time management skills with an ability to manage a large and varied workload, be proactive and open to innovation as the recruitment team establishes and develops, and be able to communicate and work effectively in a team and using own initiative, with learners and stakeholders.
