Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Cleaner to join our team. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards of our rooms and communal areas. This is an important role in ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our clients and customers.

Responsibilities:

General cleaning of all rooms, public areas, kitchen, toilets and reception area.

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the centre premises to a high standard.
  • Empty waste bins and recyclables in all areas and transport to disposal area.


 Centre
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum floors using brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners. Other floor work may be required such as scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors.


 Kitchen
  • Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, kitchen units, refrigerators, cookers etc.


 Toilets
  • Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc. Replenish bathroom supplies. Polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
  • Advise Receptionist of any cleaning supplies required.
  • Report any repairs or concerns.
  • To maintain accurate records in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • To participate in training organised for/by the Charity.

Knowledge, skills, qualifications, competencies:

Essential

  • Previous cleaning experience within a medium sized premises
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety related to a cleaning environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Very organised.
  • Pride in standard of work.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a charitable organisation.
