We are currently looking for a
Head of Procurement, a truly exciting opportunity to help us shape the procurement and carrier management strategy for DHL/Jaguar Land Rover Control Tower.

Operating as a 4PL, the scope of activity includes the procurement and management of third party carriers in collecting component parts for Jaguar Land Rover production facilities in the UK and Slovakia, with an annual spend of c.€150M.

A fast paced environment supporting the journey to a world class supply chain and delivering on Jaguar Land Rover's vision to be the proud creators of modern luxury

Previous international experience of road freight procurement would be advantageous but not essential.

You will be able to demonstrate significant success in implementing a procurement strategy and in driving the transformation and development of procurement functions.

It is vital that you are professional, able to present to and influence stakeholders, be a self-starter, and be an engaging and passionate people lead.

You will have demonstrable knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as an ability to "read the market ".

Talent in negotiations, and an aptitude for decision making as well as working with and analysing data will also be important in making this role a success.


Key to the role will be developing and delivering savings initiatives and to maximise benefits from leveraged spend and executing carrier sourcing processes.

The Head of Procurement will be instrumental in creating a team that partners the business and who seeks opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Customer presentations to senior stakeholders

  • Customer Cost Indication Requests
  • Carrier Payment Flows
  • Recruitment, Training & Development, Succession Planning

  • High level of attention to detail, able to analyse and verify complex data to ensure the tasks are relevant, correct and that accurate outputs are provided.
  • Highly organised and able to ensure deadlines which are often very tight are met consistently.
  • Must be able to assess complex situations and make positive problem solving recommendations.
  • Prepare and make confident presentations to internal departments and external customers.
  • Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to create and maintain a strong working relationship with carriers.
  • Experience of presenting detailed analysis to senior stakeholders
