£10.46 per hour weekdays. £11.46 per hour for weekends. Permanent Position.


The Shift Available:

Thursday & Friday: 6am to 11.30am, Saturday & Sunday: 5am to 1pm - 26 hours per week.

Main duties of the job


Domestic services (Cleaners) staff are the lifeblood of the NHS and an integral part of the team, keeping hospitals, health centres, offices and other areas clean and hygienic.


You will perform crucial cleaning duties within the hospital in accordance with the service level agreement and your job description.

Whilst also offering you the opportunity to study with us. BICS (Cleaning Operators Proficiency Certificate Stage 1) Is an internationally-recognised qualification providing benchmark skills for all staff in the cleaning industry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out cleaning duties to a high standard as per cleaning schedule for assigned area
  • Clean all work areas/equipment during and after use and remove all waste to the appropriate area
  • The equipment is used safely and in accordance with current regulations and company policies and to maintain the equipment in a clean, safe and tidy condition
  • Effective communication with all levels of staff
  • Complying with the Trust policies on Health & Safety, COSHH and other statutory legislation
  • Ensure all security procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Any other cleaning duties required from time to time
  • Good communication skills
  • Shows initiative and selfmotivation
  • Physically fit for the work
