Credit Control Clerk Opportunity at Burton-on-Trent
I have an exciting **full-time** position for a Credit Control Clerk in a **hybrid** setup based in Burton-on-Trent. **Join** a successful company's existing Credit Control team in the Finance department. **Expect** at least 2 days of remote work per week.
About the Role:
- Manage a set of customer accounts.
- Communicate with customers for timely debt collection.
- Handle account openings and closures.
- Perform credit checks and agree on payment terms.
- Address invoice and payment queries.
- Chase debts through phone/email.
- Send late payment letters.
- Take legal action if necessary.
- Review Aged Debtors on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Allocate customer receipts.
- Adjust credit limits when needed.
- Stay updated on credit control best practices.
- General office administrative tasks.
- Support the wider finance team.
Ideally you will have:
- Experience in credit control and accounts receivable.
- Successfully managed high workloads and met targets.
- Proactive and results-oriented approach.
- History of debt clearance.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Team player mindset.
- Passion for outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Numeracy and Microsoft Excel skills.
- CICM qualification would be advantageous.
