Our Client is a specialist in water and surface treatment and disinfection systems.


As a member of the project team, you will have the critical role of supporting the design and development of control systems for new and existing products at our Ozone and AOP Centre of Excellence in East Kilbride, nr.

Glasgow.

Job Duties:

  • Support in the design of an electrical control system integrating a PLC and ozone generating peripherals including, Electrical wiring schematics, Cable schedule and Bill of materials.
  • Work closely with the electrical and mechanical leads to ensure full integration between the system software and hardware, and relevant mechanical objectives.
  • Ensure the systems are designed within the project time scale and budget.
  • Ensure the system designs comply with the relevant directives and industry standards of CE, UKCA, UL, and C-UL (according to the product) including the Machinery and EMC directive, and any relevant Ingress Protection, Safety, and functionality requirements.
  • Assist in developing a test schedule and oversee and provide support during the inhouse validation testing.
  • Assist and support in the successful testing and award of thirdparty certifications for safety and EMC.
  • Assist in the creation of system documentation, including O&M manual and technical datasheets.
  • Issue weekly progress report on your project objectives to the project manager.

Profile Skills and Qualifications:

  • Practical and demonstrable experience in electrical engineering preferable. Project engineering and multiskilled engineering backgrounds will also be considered.
  • Experience of PLC programming, control and automation would be an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Master's degree preferable.
  • Experience of developing, testing and optimising new product developments.
  • Practical experience with CAD software.
  • An energetic and enthusiastic selfstarter who hits the ground running and does not stop until our objectives are achieved are critical success factors in this role.
  • Able to operate autonomously when required but must be a good team player with a good sense how to operate in a collective.

Job Duration:
This is a temporary role for 3 months, could be extended to 6 months
