Are you our next Data Protection Officer?

The primary responsibilities of this role is to ensure that Breas processes the personal data of staff, customers and other individuals in compliance with data protection laws.

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and comfortable using technology and operating at senior levels in an organization.

Other responsibilities include support to the General Counsel with other tasks and projects within the legal department.
This position is based at Breas head office in Mölnlycke, Sweden with the possibility of hybrid work.

Ensure Compliance:
Maintain expert knowledge of EU GDPR and relevant data protection laws to ensure company-wide compliance.

Advise and Report:

Inform and advise the Board of Directors, CEO, and Executive Management Team on data protection matters and regulatory requirements.


Policy Management :
Develop, update, and enforce data protection policies and procedures, including maintaining the Register of Processing.

Staff Training and Support:

Provide guidance and training to employees on data protection obligations, and act as the main contact point for staff queries.

Serve as the primary contact for the supervisory authority and data subjects, ensuring effective communication and compliance.

Incident Management:
Develop and advise on incident reporting procedures, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning.

Monitoring and Auditing:

Conduct regular audits to monitor compliance, report findings to senior management, and recommend improvements for data security and processing controls.

Expertise in data protection laws and practices with DPO certificate or other demonstrated expert knowledge in GDPR.
Two or more years of experience in data protection compliance or related field
Experience in a legal, audit, or risk management
Proficiency with software for preparing reports and presentations
