Are you a construction associate interested in working for a leading global law firm and as part of a leading construction practice where you will get exposure to a global client base and challenging work? This role would suit a qualified solicitor, ideally 4 to 8 years PQE and with a strong transactional construction background.

This role can be based in their offices in either Birmingham or Manchester.

Our client is a leading global law firm who have over 1500 lawyers across a global network of over 40 offices.

They are a modern firm who are very innovative in how they deliver exceptional legal services for their clients.

Due to recent and expected growth in their construction team working as a construction associate within this firm you will get exposure to high quality work with an impressive client base, clear career opportunities and the opportunity to work in a firm where having a friendly culture and a good working environment is really important.

They have a hybrid working model with 50% of time in the office.

The Role


The construction associate will take the lead on advising clients on a broad range of construction projects from initial project inception and procurement through to execution.

You will also be required to advise clients on a broad range of construction contracts to include NEC4, JCT, international FIDIC and bespoke EPC contracts.


The Person

  • Qualified Solicitor 4 to 8 years PQE
  • Extensive experience of working in a transactional construction practice advising clients on large construction projects and strong knowledge of a range of construction contracts
  • Excellent legal drafting skills with strong experience of drafting a range of construction contracts
  • Commercial aptitude
  • Professional approach and excellent communication skills
