Kitchen Porter to join our growing kitchen team.
As
Kitchen Porter your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the receiving and storage of all food deliveries, ensuring the proper storage of food items as quickly as possible after delivery after checking temperatures in line with food safety expectations
- Ensuring daily and weekly deep cleaning tasks are completed as per the cleaning schedule and signed off in the appropriate kitchen records
- Following the correct date/day labelling system as expected by Head Chef
- Keeping your work area clean, safe, neat and tidy adopting a 'clean as you go' approach
- Regularly checking the amount of clean crockery & utensils, making sure there is always sufficient stocks for the effective running of the kitchen
As
Kitchen Porter essential skills are:
- Previous similar working experience for 4-5* hotel is preferable
- Enthusiastic, selfmotivated, proactive, resourceful with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to anticipate guest needs and go the extra mile
- Good communications skills with a positive and energetic nature
- It's a physical role and you'll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important
- Flexible attitude to shifts you may need to work nights, weekends and/or holidays
