AV Installation Engineer

Responsibilities

As part of the team, you'll play a crucial role in the installation process, ensuring the seamless integration of AV, Feature lighting, Access control, and Telecoms technologies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting day-to-day installation activities with precision and efficiency.
  • Completing and submitting accurate AV asset documents and field service records.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with both team members and clients to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Providing timely and detailed reports on installation and service activities.
  • Upholding the highest standards of technical excellence.
  • Participating in relevant in-house and safety training programs.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Have prior experience in AV, Access Control/Security, or Telecoms installation.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to interpret system schematics.
  • Be proficient in using various apps and software tools.
  • Be willing to travel to client sites across the UK and Europe, with overnight stays.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working hours and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Have a solid understanding of IP networks
  • Hold a clean UK driving license.
  • Be knowledgeable about health and safety practices.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

While not essential, familiarity with the following would be advantageous:

  • CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
  • ECS (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) or equivalent
  • IPAF (International Powered Access Federation)
  • PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association)
  • UKATA (UK Asbestos Training Association)
  • Avixa/Infocom
  • SSSTS/SMSTS (Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme/ Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
