The Health Records Department consists of Six core services based over three sites, and serves all Directorates and our patients.

In this role you will provide leadership and expertise within the Subject Access Request team.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a line manager within our expanding Subject Access Request team.

You will be overseeing the Department's response to SARs made under the Data Protection Act (DPA) by patients and their representatives, and managing the team who will be determining what personal information can be disclosed and where it is appropriate to engage an exemption to withhold information under the DPA.

A flexible, positive and can-do attitude is vital, using your resource to support the team where needed to achieve full compliance with all the SARs it receives.

You will join a large team that is looking to investigate the use of new technology available to manage challenging work and increase efficiencies.

Full time position: 37.5 hours per week (this may include Saturday working on a rota system, working pattern will not exceed a 5-day working week)

Successful applicants will require:

  • Ability to coordinate and monitor the day to day operational issues within the Healthcare Records core services, ensuring that an effective and efficient service is provided to all service users.
  • To ensure compliance/requirements with Health Records related statutory regulations and that legislation relating to the retention, preservation, and destruction of clinical records and associated documents and all other requirements are adhered to by all staff.
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.

Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury.

Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients - the first of its kind in the country.
