What you'll do
We're recruiting for a Data Governance Lead to join our Finance Data & Analytics team here at Vodafone UK.

As a Data Governance Lead, you will drive the adoption of our Corporate Data Governance policy to ensure that Vodafone has an established data management solution which is under continuous improvement, whilst ensuring that all data is owned and that a structure exists that allows data owners and data stewards to prioritise issues and drive continuous improvement.

Wider responsibilities will also include, but will not be limited to:

  • Rolling out a data strategy across the UK, involving a strategy to load data into a single area, ensuring Vodafone has an up-to-date and relevant data catalogue, a data lineage tool that is usable by both technical and business stakeholders and has a solution to be able to run data quality checks and report on the accuracy/validity of data products.
  • Working with senior business stakeholders to establish business ownership and to maintain key data inputs in line with the UK Data Governance Policy.
  • Owning the adoption, alignment to and maturity of the UK Data Governance Policy within the UK OPCO including but not limited to, data model and interoperability, data lifecycle management, data ownership, and operational governance

Who you are

  • Demonstrable background in data governance, having played a pivotal role in driving the improvement and maturity of corporate data governance.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with a clear track record of translating ideas and information to all levels of seniority.
  • Builds relationships within and across departments with a collaborative and consultative mindset.
  • Adept in the utilisation of the MS Office suite and data governance tools such as 'Collibra' would be beneficial.
