Mobile Fitter Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter Supervisor to work for a major Plant hire specialist based in Maidenhead.

Leading and supporting the UK Mobile Fitters in the service and maintenance of plant equipment at both the workshop and at customersites.

As a Mobile Plant Fitter Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting and developing your team to maximise performance whilst ensuring the health and safety of all employees at both the workshop and on customer sites.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for receiving customers calls regarding breakdowns and diagnosing issues over the phone where possible.
• Responsible for job allocation for both servicing and repairs for the Mobile fitters across the UK.
• Responsibility for prioritising urgent jobs and communicating with other Senior Managers across the business to ensure critical situations are dealt with in the most efficient way.
• Liaising with site to organise access to sites for the mobile fitters.
• Responsible for ensuring the mobile fitters have sufficient stock in their vans including ordering stock where required.
• Responsible for ensuring the lifting inspections and hose testing certification are kept up to date.
• Responsible for ensuring the jobs are closed promptly and charges are communicated with the customer (where appropriate).
• Responsible for reporting on common breakdowns trends to help determine solution.
• Liaising with the Hiredesk team to arrange exchanges where necessary.
• Train, develop and support the existing team whilst ensuring new talent is progressing through the business.
• Regularly review resources across the team and work closely with the General Manager and our Recruitment partner to ensure the required level of resource is maintained.
• Oversee all H&S and Quality aspects and ensure sufficient policies and procedures are implemented effectively and are adhered to.
• Conducting Toolbox Talks and training sessions as appropriate.
• Deliver results in terms of Sales, Budget & KPI's and hold regular 1:1 performance reviews and appraisals to review individuals' performance.
• Continue to drive a positive culture within the organisation and deliver succession plans to create high performing teams.
• Collaborate and contribute to strategic objectives for the business.
• Reporting of site accidents and damages and providing relevant reports as and when required.
• Positively engage and contribute to groupwide senior leadership team.
• Managing FORS & ISO Audits and maintaining information and requirements throughout the year.
• All other adhoc tasks as required by the General manager and National Sales Manager.

Attendance to site as required but would be predominantly office based

• 5+ years Leadership Experience
• 5+ years Plant Fitter Experience
• Clear commercial awareness
• Leads by example
• Good IT skills and working knowledge of all Microsoft packages
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to work well under pressure and manage a busy workload

Job package and benefits:

Salary of upto £50,000 depending on skills and experience.
Company Van including personal use.
Monday to Friday
20 days holiday plus bank holidays
