Unix Engineer - £450 Inside IR3- Remote

Installation, support, monitoring and maintenance of Solaris 10 & 11 systems in an enterprise environment, as well as their continuous optimization

Virtualization solutions for the respective operating systems
1st & 2nd level support in high-availability data centre operations
Complex error analysis and its elimination (incident and problem management)
Change management with proactive support for the units
Patch management using 3rd party software in virtualized environments
Taking over regular maintenance work (extensions, updates)
Processing of service requests
Updating the relevant documentation
Independent familiarization with new topics with a strong will to learn new things Professional profile:

Solaris expertise in large environments (Solaris 10 & 11)
Linux expert knowledge in large environments (RedHat and Oracle unbreakable Linux)
Extensive experience with Solaris clusters
Excellent virtualization, hardware, storage and network knowledge
Extensive experience with Exadata would be an advantage
Knowledge of Perl and Python is desirable
Experience with Ansible and related automation solutions required
Good knowledge of shell scripting
Willingness for occasional weekend work and on-call duty
Good knowledge of German and English
