The school caters for students with MLD, SLCN, ASD and Physical Disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons
  • Providing onetoone support for students with special educational needs
  • Supporting students with personal care and physical needs
  • Encouraging and motivating students to reach their full potential
  • Working collaboratively with other staff members, parents, and external agencies
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and monitoring individual targets

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs in a primary school setting
  • Understanding of different types of SEN, including MLD, SLCN, ASD, and Physical Disabilities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications or training, such as NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent
