Salary:
£11 per hour for first 6 months, £12 per hour on successful probation

Hours:
Permanent, Full-time 37.5 hours per week
; To work 5 days per week Monday - Saturday on a rota to cover clients needs.

Job description


Personal coach will help clients in their own home to improve their health and focusing on their short, medium and long term goals.

We specialise in helping those with different types of conditions who need support with low impact exercises to improve their mobility, balance and coordination.

We are looking for a Personal Coach to join our organization and implement training programs for our clients.

The personal coach is responsible for accurately accessing clients at the start of their journey, compiling reports and developing their physical and mental well-being always account for any special conditions.

They should be able to assist clients in reaching their goals, and have a passion and drive for health, wellness and fitness.


Primary responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development and delivery of fitness programs.
  • Assisting clients in reaching individual short, medium and long term goals.
  • Assisting in maintaining and improving the goals of the organisation.
  • Ensuring the safety of clients during training sessions.
  • Motivating clients throughout the sessions to reach their goals.
  • Identify the client's fitness and health levels.
  • Track client's physical progress.
  • Modify exercise plans based on the client's needs, potential injuries or health conditions.
  • Oversee the use of fitness equipment to ensure client's exercise properly and safely.
  • Follow safety and hygiene guidelines.

To be successful as a personal coach, you should stay up to date with the latest trends in the fitness industry and provide solutions to your client's fitness needs.

You should distinguish yourself as an outstanding personal coach as the main role will be going out in the community into people's homes.

You should be a team player and ultimately an exceptional personal coach will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and be able to add value to a growing organisation.

Skills and Traits:


As a personal coach, you will interacting with client's all day so you will need to be outgoing, talkative, energetic, observant and hard-working.


You will need:

  • A warm and outgoing demeanour
  • Strong people skills to interact with a diverse spectrum of people with various backgrounds and motivations.
  • Knowledge of the Human body and passion for health and fitness.
  • Great time management and organisational abilities.
  • The ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Excellent oral communication skills awareness and understanding of safeguarding practices and policies.
  • High levels of enthusiasm and drive.
  • Problem solving and stress management skills.
  • The ability to use information technology for a variety of purposes such as record keeping, sessions reminders.

What to Expect in the Role:

You will tend to work the same days each week but flexibly for client changes and holiday cover is expected.

Once skilled up, you will be working alone most of the time.

The manger will always be available 24 hours of the day and continuation of company training is provided and used as time to interact with other colleagues.

You will always have support 24/7.


You will be seeing individuals on a 1-1 basis in their own home and will be delivering low impact exercises with a personalised tailored program.
