Shop Supervisor

We are looking for a keen, reliable person to assist the shop manager in the day-to-day business of a charity store selling pre-loved clothing and furniture.

Training will be provided for all aspects of the job.

Must have fluent English, good numeracy/literacy skills and be able to move heavy loads on stairs for the requirements of the role.

Normal work hours are 12per week between 9.45am - 4.15pm, working alternate Saturdays. Must be able to provide cover for manager's full week holidays, which will be a 36hr week.

Job Summary

  • Sort through donated items for shop stock or recycling
  • Price stock according to pricing guidelines and fill shop displays
  • Welcome and serve customers, attending to their requests
  • Assist with the training and supervision of a team of volunteer workers
  • Operate an EPOS system and fulfil rota duties in endofday transactions
  • Ensure organisational standards are met
  • Maintain a clean safe environment, meeting H&S requirements
  • Move furniture, donation bags and assist in the loading/unloading of lorries as requested
  • Provide holiday/sickness cover for manager
