Faculty / Directorate
The Estates Directorate is large and diverse, employing circa 300 people, ranging from Security, cleaners, porters, leisure centre assistants, property management professionals, architects, project officers, CAD, space management, sustainability and energyand administrative personnel.
Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Attendant (Accommodation) to join the Estates team
Your typical working week will include monitor and support student safety and security in university-controlled halls, including the enforcement of university policy and regulations relating to student accommodation.
This role does require to work on a shift pattern covering 9am - 9pm including weekends.
The role is on a full time (37 hours per week), permanent basis.
A confident communicator as you'll have to report to the on-duty team leader and raise any operation issues. You will accurately complete and communicate incident reports and provide detailed handover briefs to the hall managers.
As the role is based around safety and security this role will entail patrolling and visiting multiple buildings to facilitate a healthy student environment.
