Working hand in hand with a diverse team, you'll oversee and support a caseload of up to 24 forensic service users with mental health conditions. Your responsibilities will include assessments, CPA reports, Mental Health Tribunals, Managers Hearings, as well as supervising junior team members.

As a key member of the team, you will champion child and adult safeguarding, fostering recovery to motivate service users to actively participate in their care plans and achieve personal milestones.

Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, you will receive regional support and have access to various training programs and online courses to enhance your professional growth.


Other key responsibilities:
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams on non-medical mental capacity matters and best interest decisions
  • Cooperate with external agencies to ensure fulfillment of their statutory obligations such as MAPPA, Local Authority Social Services, Police, and Probation
  • Support carers and families of detained patients

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A Social Work qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar environment
