ABOUT THE ROLE:

The individual in this role will lead on all Employee Relations issues in EMEA and APAC and act as a liaison to the People Business Partner and Legal Teams to drive consistent ER processes across the organisation whilst minimising risk and ensuring a positive ethical workplace. You will also be responsible for ensuring we have consistent processes in place and to oversee and help to resolve workplace conflict, including performance and behavioral management, in accordance with company and local regulations.

This is a significant role in all areas of Employee Relations including the suggestion of proactive solutions to address employee and business needs, leading workplace investigations, consulting and coaching managers, and helping to refine company-wide HR policies. Through handling of critical employee relations issues that are crisis- oriented and time critical you will elevate the care and attention that we provide our employees.

Professional in your approach, you will be familiar with current employment law practices and be capable of presenting accurate and well written reports on cases.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver a consistent, knowledgeable and professional service in ER areas including but not limited to, disciplinary, grievance, probation, performance, long term sick leave, that mitigates legal exposure ensuring all such matters are dealt with in line with policy, best practice and legislative requirements Lead thorough and timely investigations in a manner that respects all concerned while balancing business needs and communicate recommendations and outcomes as appropriate Prepare necessary documentation and correspondence for all employee relations matters including case management tool notes Build partnerships with business leaders and our global People Business partners to sustain positive employee relations practices Coach and influence our People Business Partners on interventions required for individuals, managers, and/or teams on preventing employee relations risks, effective management of performance cases, giving performance feedback, and increasing employee engagement Foster strong working relationships with our Legal team to balance risk and calibrate recommendations for decision-making Collaborate with key partners on ER data insights, trends and opportunities to drive proactive solutions, whilst examining trends to diagnose root causes and develop recommendations for proactive corrective strategies Partner with legal and the talent development team, to curate and deliver relevant enablement sessions to improve PBP and leader effectiveness and drive better ER decisions Maintain strong relationships with legal, compliance, benefits, IT and security, as many cases will require integration of efforts across one or more of these areas Participate in the identification and delivery of ER projects/continuous improvement initiatives to improve the policy framework, increase knowledge within OneStream and expand ER capability within the global people operations team Ensure a coordinated and consistent case management approach to handling ER matters alongside managing our internal ER portal and Whistleblowing portal

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Proven track record in an Employee Relations or HR Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with key internal stakeholders including senior business managers Demonstrable understanding of European employment law and regulatory frameworks or a strong aptitude to learn Previous experience managing a high volume of fast paced and demanding cases, alongside coaching experience and the ability to deliver enablement sessions

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Postgraduate, diploma or certification in HR, ER or other related field Extensive experience handling ER matters in multiple jurisdictions strongly preferred Advantageous to be able to speak French, Spanish Dutch or German

Sound judgement and decision making with the highest level of integrity Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive and difficult issues in a confidential manner and skilled in dealing with workplace behavior issues and practices Problem solving, investigative and analytical skills, resulting in strong ability to identify issues, write reports and make recommendations Experience thriving in an exciting and ambiguous environment with evolving priorities and are comfortable taking the initiative to challenge assumptions, identify issues, and work to resolve complex matters, taking the necessary actions to properly remediate issues and implement preventative solution-based strategies Convey empathy and cultivate strong relationships while handling sensitive situations and information with discretion and professionalism
