Opportunity for a Small Animal Vet to join a well-established 3 Vet practice in Liverpool.


Calling all Liverpool based Small Animal Vet A new opportunity to join a growing and well-established 3-branch practice has just become available.

This position is open to anyone interested in either a full or part time position and requires no out of hours responsibility.

Across the three sites, there is a friendly and supportive team of 9 Vets with varying levels of interests and experience (ranging from 3 years to 38 years qualified).

Vets are encouraged to pursue their areas of interest and can work towards a certificate with the funding and support of the practice if they wish - the existing team has two certificate holders.

Mentorship and personal development are valued very highly and is overseen by the clinical director who plays an active role in developing the vet team and encourages the sharing of ideas.


All three sites (which are located a short drive from each other across the Wirral) are well equipped with radiography facilities, ultrasonography, endoscope and in house labs.

All three branches are approved training practices and have a designated clinical coach (RVN).

Vets are supported very well by a dedicated nurse team which consists of 7 RVNs and 4 SVNs (1st and 2nd year) as well as a practice manager, team of receptionists, admin staff etc.


The ideal person for this role will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in small animal work and be comfortable working sole charge.

You will also be a team player and enjoy building a close bond to your colleagues as well as to the clients of the practice.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be registered with the RCVS to practice in the UK
  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in small animal work, however those with less are still encouraged to apply
  • You must be comfortable working sole charge, but also enjoy working as part of a team and building good relationships with colleagues and clients alike
