The Company

Nigel Wright's Supply Chain and Procurement Team is delighted to be supporting a longstanding, well-established Engineering Services Group in their recruitment of a Senior Buyer.

The Client offers 4 days' on site, 1 day remote-working + bonus.

The Opportunity

Working within a dynamic, busy sector and operating environment, the Senior Buyer will have sole responsibility for specific Projects, performing a 360' Procurement remit from - designing and implementing procurement strategy to holding kick off meetings withkey stakeholders to understand project scopes, managing project timelines and business updates through to new sourcing, supplier onboarding, contract negotiation and supplier performance management.


About You
The successful Senior Buyer will ideally have/be

  • Degree educated and/or CIPS qualified
  • A Procurement background in Project Engineering would be beneficial, accustomed to contract negotiation
  • Accustomed to performing both a handson and strategic procurement remit
  • Strong team player
  • Able to travel (UK/Europe) as required
