Senior Playworker

We are an afterschool and holiday club for children with additional needs. We are looking to appoint a Senior Playworker to oversee our sessions and provide support to staff and children.

**Applicants must hold a Level 3 Certificate in Childcare and Playwork.**

Term time hours: 2:45pm-5:45pm

Holiday Club Hours: 10-4:15pm

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and engage children in play activities
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for children to play
- Plan and organize age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities
- Encourage social interaction and positive behaviour among children
- Assist with snack time and ensure dietary restrictions are followed
- Monitor children's well-being and address any concerns or issues adhering to safeguarding procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of play areas
- Communicate with parents or guardians regarding their child's day
- To supervise and support staff during delivery

- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities
- Patience, compassion, and a nurturing attitude towards children
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible

**Salary**: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week

- Childcare: 1 year (required)
- Management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
