In this role you will help establish and promote the safety culture for the operational phase of HPC.The roleYou'll liaise with the construction industrial safety team to ensure a smooth transition from construction to operational arrangements.

Your duties and responsibilities will beProviding subject matter input to the training team to ensure that the organisation for the operational site is adequately trained on industrial safety topics.

Developing and maintaining an effective collaborative working relationship with the HPC construction site and Nuclear Generation industrial safety teams.
Supporting the development of the industrial safety procedures for the operational site.

Working collaboratively with all the departments to support the development of the safety arrangements for management of work for Pre-Operations during construction, through commissioning and into operations.

Providing industrial safety advice from an operational station's perspective to teams designing facilities and equipment.

Supporting the creation, a strong safety culture for the operational siteYou will have the following qualifications & experienceDetailed understanding of Industrial Safety regulations and requirements and the ability to implement in a large facility.

Experience participating in, or leading industrial health and safety continual improvement projects / initiatives.
Experience developing and implementing management system policies, procedures and processes.

Familiar with working in a high hazard industry such as nuclear, oil & gas, chemical, construction, manufacturingAbility to communicate clearly at all levels of the organisation, both verbally and through written reports.

Membership of Institution of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH) and/or EIT or equivalent or working towards Chartership.
Experience of carrying out audits and investigations.
May include NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
