KS1 Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant for a Primary School in Atherton to provide one-on-one support to a child.

This role will involve offering individual support to a Year 2 student to help them overcome learning obstacles and reach their full potential.

You will be responsible for keeping the child focused on their tasks and ensuring they complete their work to a high standard.

You should have strong behavior management skills and be able to collaborate effectively with the child to meet their learning goals.

This is a full-time position from 08:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.

The start date is immediate and the role will last until July 19, 2024.

Your duties:

  • Support the child in overcoming learning obstacles
  • Collaborate closely with the child to help them realize their full potential
  • Inspire and excel in the classroom
  • Be enthusiastic about empowering every child to unleash their potential

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant childcare qualification Level 2 or Level 3 or higher
  • Have recent experience supporting children in educational, social care, nursery, community/youth, college/university, or volunteer settings
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
  • Provide two suitable references from the last 2 years
