The Position of a Maintenance Engineer:


We seek a skilled Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role, with previous experience in the manufacturing sector.

This role is situated in a fast-paced setting necessitating the ability to handle pressure, address challenges adeptly, and show initiative on a daily basis.

We require someone self-sufficient, hands-on, adept at both reactive and proactive measures to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).


Skills & Requirements of a Maintenance Engineer:

  • Time Served – Full Apprenticeship (Dual Trade)
  • Exposure to a demanding manufacturing environment
  • Quick thinking and able to perform under pressure
  • Proficient in fault diagnostics and troubleshooting machinery
  • Experience in Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Hands-on experience with gears, pumps, and motors
  • Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Prior work with PLC's (Siemens experience not required)
  • Experience with circuits and diagrams

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a diverse range of equipment effectively, prioritizing health and safety to ensure the well-being of all staff members.
  • Diagnose root causes of breakdowns and faults to prevent future incidents.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and assigned tasks, completing necessary documentation and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with other departments and contribute to project advancements.
  • Monitor equipment performance to identify and implement process enhancements.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of failure modes using appropriate diagnostic tools.
  • Establish, execute, and review Total Preventative Maintenance routines, ensuring adherence to schedules.
