Elite Search is currently working with a leading global organisation who are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that all products adhere to company specifications, maximising product quality, food safety and profitability for the business.


This will be achieved by ongoing continuous performance improvement against KPIs, managing effective root cause analyses with Suppliers and tracking performance improvement against agreed timelines.


You will communicate best practice to drive category performance, supporting the Purchasing team and wider business to unlock key technical issues that will drive value and other benefits.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the FSQA team to ensure that suppliers adhere to quality and food safety policies & proceduresn

Complaints management:
Delivering improved quality and food safety performance across a range of categories by challenging Suppliers on the root cause analyses of issuesn

  • Working with Purchasing team to engage and motivate Suppliers where this is a problemn
  • KPI Management with the supplier: Ensuring Suppliers are aware of and are committed to delivery against technical KPIsn
  • Ongoing Quality Assurance of new products post launchn
  • Investigate and resolve food safety, quality and/or integrity issuesn
  • Develop and drive performance improvements with suppliers & distributors (securing stakeholder buy-in, defining critical path, providing clear feedback / progress reports)n
  • Develop long-term partnerships with key suppliers and stakeholders that will deliver sustainable value and improved quality.

Skills & Experience:

  • Food Science related degreen
  • Strong track record in technical KPI management and delivery of improved quality and value performance with Suppliersn
  • Thorough understanding of root cause analyses, quality management systems and food production systems.n
  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally with key stakeholders to deliver objectivesn
  • Product management experience in a highly networked environmentn
  • Willing and able to travel across Europe and beyond if necessaryn
  • Auditor and HACCP experiencen
  • Strategic/commercial focus; understands business strategies and those of suppliers to ensure robust partnershipsn
  • Initiative/"entrepreneurial" approach; hands-on approach with the ability to think laterally to resolve issues/problems; works independently and as part of a team and operates effectively within a flexible, fast-paced, small business environment
