Requirements:
To be considered for the role of Unqualified Teaching Assistant you will:
- Classroom Support: Demonstrate the ability to provide effective support to the classroom teacher, including assisting with lesson preparation, delivering small group activities, and providing one-to-one support to students as needed.
- Behaviour Management: Have knowledge of behaviour management strategies and the ability to implement them consistently to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with students, teachers, and parents. The ability to listen attentively, give clear instructions, and provide feedback is essential.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable to work in different classrooms or with different students as required. Demonstrate the ability to adjust teaching approaches and strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, other teaching assistants, and support staff to promote a cohesive and productive learning environment. The ability to establish positive relationships and contribute to a team dynamic is important.
- Safeguarding: Have a strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, and a commitment to always ensuring the wellbeing and safety of students.
- Professionalism: Exhibit professionalism and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role. Uphold high standards of behaviour and ethics and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.
The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
