The IT Manager for UK and Ireland will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT operations and strategy across the two countries. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and best practices, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

The role will be based from our UK Head Office in Chippenham, Wiltshire around 3 days per week. There will also be travel to Ireland and other areas of Europe, depending on projects and IT requirements. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with global and local business objectives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of IT systems, in line with project scope and budgets.
  • Work with senior management to identify technological needs and opportunities for innovation.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of IT professionals.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide IT systems, including networks, servers, storage, and security solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data protection, privacy, and information security.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers, negotiating contracts, and overseeing service level agreements to ensure quality and value.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and prioritize IT initiatives, aligning technology investments with business priorities and ROI objectives.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation, promoting adherence to best practices and standards across UK & I.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, making recommendations for technology adoption to drive business growth.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on IT performance, projects, and initiatives, highlighting achievements, risks, and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with various teams across the business and develop positive working relationships across various departments.
  • Oversee the IT Helpdesk for UK and Ireland, ensuring timely resolution of user issues and providing excellent customer support.

EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE + KEY TRAITS:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification / experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Master's degree or equivalent is a plus.
  • Proven experience in IT management roles.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Primary language used in daily operations is English. Additional primary company languages include Dutch.
