Role Overview


Based in Andoversford, Astor Bannerman manufactures, supplies, installs and services specialist bathing and lifting systems for the disabled and elderly.

Working as part of the fabrication team, you will be expected to weld and bend a variety of components to a high standard, facilitating the assembly process ensuring continuous operation.


Main functions and responsibilities

  • TIG Welding
  • Welding various component parts.
  • Knowledge of pipe bending, working with a variety of materials.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings or samples.
  • An understanding of quality and form.
  • Good handeye coordination.
  • Fettling and drilling.
  • Work productively and efficiently and minimise waste.
  • Follow operating procedures and directions given.
  • Ensure all products are fabricated to a high standard.

Measures of success

  • Strong working relationship with all the staff.
  • Ontime delivery of components.
  • Supporting continuous improvements.

The Person

  • Driving licence holder
  • Quality aware
  • Selfstarter and a quick learner.

Salary:
£13.00-£14.50 per hour
